A national collaboration

KidsMatter Early Childhood is a national collaboration between the early childhood education and care and health sectors. It has been jointly developed by Early Childhood Australia (ECA), beyondblue and the Australian Psychological Society (APS), with funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and beyondblue.
 
Early Childhood Australia (ECA) is the peak national non-profit non-government body advocating for quality, social justice and equity in all issues relating to the education and care of children from birth to eight years. KidsMatter Early Childhood is one of their national early childhood initiatives.
 
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) is the largest professional association for psychologists in Australia, representing more than 20,000 members. The APS is committed to advancing psychology as a discipline and profession. It contributes to community wellbeing by promoting mental health and the benefits of early intervention across the life-span. KidsMatter Early Childhood is one of their children’s initiatives.
 
beyondblue is a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation working to raise community awareness and reduce stigma about depression, anxiety and related disorders. beyondblue works in partnership with schools and other organisations, and has funded initiatives such as KidsMatter Early Childhood.
 
The Department of Health aims to achieve better health for all Australians. It is responsible for population health, as well as medical services, primary care, rural health, hearing services, sport and Indigenous health. It administers and funds a number of mental health programs including KidsMatter Early Childhood.
