KidsMatter - Australian Primary Schools Health Initiative

The resources relating to Component 1, A positive school community, have been specifically designed by KidsMatter to introduce parents, carers and school staff to the KidsMatter initiative. They also provide useful information on the importance of building connections between staff, students, families, and the community, to create a caring and inclusive school environment.

The Component 1 resources comprise:

• A resource pack containing information, practical applications and resources for helping schools and families to create a positive school community. This pack also contains a detailed overview of the KidsMatter initiative.
• Information sheets (found within the resource pack) for parents and carers. These provide a brief introduction to the KidsMatter initiative, and explain the key elements of a positive school community.

When looking for resources on a particular topic, we recommend that you start with the information sheets. Then, to follow up your interest and find further information and suggestions, you can download the additional resources for the relevant resource pack.
