The KidsMatter partnership looks for strategic, promotional and collaborative opportunities with organisations that provide support for the school and greater community in the areas of mental health and wellbeing.

Act-Belong-Commit

Act-Belong-Commit is a community based positive mental health promotion program directed by Mentally Healthy WA at Curtin University and implemented through health services, local governments, women’s health services and not-for-profit groups throughout WA and other eastern state organisations.

The goal of the Act-Belong-Commit program is to encourage people to become more proactive about their mental health. Specifically, the objectives are:

  • to increase people’s awareness that – in the same way as there are things they can and should do to strengthen and retain their physical health – there are things they can and should do to strengthen and retain their mental health
  • increase their knowledge of activities that strengthen mental health and wellbeing
  • increase their participation in activities that yield mental health benefits.
