All children experience difficulties from time to time. But some seem to experience problems or feel the effects more so than other children. These problems are usually referred to as ‘emotional and/or behavioural difficulties’, and can often be worked through or managed with help from a mental health professional.

Families are often the first to spot issues with a child’s emotions, thinking or behaviour. The first step is taking time to observe what’s going on.
