KidsMatter provides schools and early childhood education and care (ECEC) services with a framework to understand and support children’s mental health and wellbeing. This work is greatly enhanced when schools and services are linked to health and community services.
We have already connected with a number of organisations and, because of this, health and community services are now working with schools and ECEC services across Australia. These partnerships better inform families about available support. Children with identified mental health needs have also been able to access effective support through their school or ECEC service as well as participate in on-site programs.
