KidsMatter is working in partnership with Kids Helpline to connect Australian primary schools with a free early intervention program called Kids Helpline @ School. Primary schools can invite a Kids Helpline counsellor into their classroom via a video link or over the phone to facilitate sessions with class groups on a range of topics such as bullying, online safety, family arguments and friendships. Schools can also nominate a topic that is important to them and their students.

Kids Helpline @ School, funded by Optus, uses early intervention and prevention techniques to promote resilience and mental health literacy in children. Vitally, it teaches students help-seeking behaviours, and provides them with an opportunity to explore coping strategies and gain awareness about different mental health topics.
