Professional Services Manager (NSW) - Jeannette James
supports the delivery and implementation of KidsMatter Primary and MindMatters (Secondary). Jeannette is a secondary school educator, who has worked across all sectors in a variety of schools in SA and NSW. Jeannette enjoyed her role as Partnership Broker with the Youth Attainment and Transitions Program, supporting disengaged youth, school to work transitions and Home-School partnerships. She enjoys networking, connectedness and leveraging social media to do so. She is passionate about supporting both students AND teachers thrive and believes in healthy relationships, dynamic leadership and the importance of balance and growth mindsets. Professional Services Coordinator (NSW) - Joanne Dwyer
Jo has been a teacher for 25 years and has always enjoyed working with children. She has a particular interest in developing childrens social and emotional wellbeing so they develop the skills to deal with life’s challenges. Jo’s involvement with KidsMatter started in 2006 when her school was chosen as one of the first 50 pilot schools across Australia. Since 2006, she has continued to develop her mental health knowledge and experience. She will complete her Masters of Education this year specialising in Wellbeing in Inclusive Education.
Professional Services Consultant (NSW) - Lindy Cavanagh
has a background encompassing secondary Personal Development, Health and Physical Education teaching, University lecturing in education, contemporary issues in health and health promotion, and research. She is currently completing her doctorate with a focus on mental health education for adolescents and improving young peoples’ attitudes towards help-seeking.
Lindy has a strong passion for health promotion and education and combines her skills and experience, with new knowledge and opportunity, to enhance positive mental health and wellbeing in schools across NSW.
Professional Services Coordinator (NSW) – Rachel Wilkenfeld
Rachel is a registered pyschologist with over 10 years experience working in school and adolescent health promotion. Originally a secondary school counsellor, Rachel has worked with at risk youth as well as on a number of health research initiatives in school and community settings.
She is passionate about mental health and working with schools to create a supportive environment. She is also interested in nutrition and physical activity as they relate to mental health and has extensive experience in the child and adolescent nutrition and physical activity field. She is excited about this education and health initiative and is looking forward to being a part of the KidsMatter team.
